Türkiye in the PCT

Türkiye is a contracting state of the Patent Cooperation Treaty. A PCT application designating Türkiye becomes a Turkish national application when the national phase is entered at TÜRKPATENT with a Turkish translation and the official fees.

The translation

The Turkish translation defines what is protected in Türkiye, so we review technical terminology with care and keep the claims consistent with the international publication and any amendments.

Search and examination

TÜRKPATENT can rely on the international search report and the international preliminary examination report. Examination of patentability follows, and the patent is granted once the requirements are met. Annual fees are due from the national filing onward to keep the application in force.
